Introducing VFW Post 9617

Post 9617 Members Serving Overseas


MSgt TOM FINN, on left a member of VFW Post 9617 post, and a buddy from his unit  in Afghanistan going through a package the Post sent to Tom.  The VFW Post pays for the supplies that are sent by Connie and John Telesco of Stamford, CT.


ANTHONY INZITARI, member of VFW POST 9617. in Afghanistan. Serving our country in the tradition of the 10,000 Stamford residents who served during World War II. Stamford men saw combat during the Korean War and in Vietnam. Many of those are members of VFW Post 9617.

ARCHIE ELAM, member of VFW Post 9617 and a West Point graduate, planting flag at grave of Stamford veteran on Memorial Day 2014. VFW Post 9617 annually honors all veterans on Memorial Day by planting flags at grave sites. Many volunteers assist post members in the ceremony.
